The Research and Development (R&D) Cell of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur serves as the dynamic nucleus driving innovation, exploration, and academic excellence within the institution. • Allocation, utilization, and review of R&D funds sanctioned by the management.
• Grant of financial assistance to the faculty and students as per the prescribed norms.
• Participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, conventions, and conclaves.
• Tracking data of research publications, research areas, citations, and h-index in referred journals.
• Monitoring activities of the Centre of Excellence and PhD Centre.
• Managing PhD registration, progress seminars, and pre-submission seminars.
• Checking plagiarism of research papers and PhD theses using authentic software.
• Submission of research proposals to external funding agencies.
• Preparation and implementation of the R&D calendar.
• Organizing programs such as orientation, research methodology, IPR awareness, mini-modelling, healthcare initiatives, hackathons, paper presentations, and guest lectures.
• Dissemination of information about funding agencies to all faculty members every year.
• Granting seed money for research projects, patent filing, copyrights, prototype projects of UG/PG, incubation, innovation, and competitions.
• Sponsoring teaching faculty for full-time PhD at Raisoni Education PhD Centres or other institutes.
• Issuing SOPs for research, innovation, incubation, plagiarism, consultancy, and related activities.
• Facilitating the process of obtaining NABL certification for research and laboratory facilities.
• Applying for Intellectual Property Rights such as patents and copyrights.

• Allocate and disburse institutional funds to support faculty and researchers for participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, conclaves, and other academic events.
• Maintain and regularly update a centralized database of research publications, funded and submitted research proposals, patents, and copyrights.
• Monitor and track the status of research proposal submissions to various funding agencies, including national and international bodies.
• Facilitate and support the drafting, filing, and prosecution of patents and other intellectual property generated within the institution.
• Provide guidance and administrative assistance related to copyright registration and management.
• Formulate, implement, and periodically revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for research incentives and performance-based rewards.
• Coordinate with departments, research coordinators, and external agencies to ensure timely data collection and compliance with research policies.
• Prepare consolidated reports on research outputs and activities for institutional review, accreditation, and statutory requirements.

• Publications and Patents: The R&D Cell has facilitated numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has supported the filing of patents for innovative research outcomes, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and technological innovation.
• Research Collaborations: Through its efforts in fostering collaboration and partnership, the R&D Cell has facilitated several research collaborations with industry partners and other academic institutions, thereby enriching research outcomes and fostering knowledge exchange.
• Student Engagement: The R&D Cell has actively engaged students in research activities through various initiatives such as student research projects, internships, and research scholarships, thereby nurturing a new generation of researchers and innovators.
