Meet Our HOD
Dr. Devashree Marotkar, awarded her PhD degree in antenna design from RTMNU, Nagpur & completed M.Tech (VLSI) and B.E (Electronics & Telecommunication) degree from RTMNU. She has teaching experience of 12 years in the relevant field. Currently, she is Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of B.E, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering in the best Engineering College in Nagpur- G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (Autonomous).
She has authored more than 25 research articles in national and international Journals/Conferences. Her area of research includes Antenna Design, Wireless Communication etc. She owns around 7 copyright and 6 patents. She holds the lifetime membership of professional society ISTE.
She puts strong emphasis on imparting practical education by carefully administering Teaching-Learning process. The department catalyzes and assures a very healthy, amicable but a competitive ambience for our future engineer.
Course & Admission Overview
M.Tech VLSI Design & Embedded Systems
The VLSI program will cover the fundamentals and engineering aspects of designing and developing IC based systems. Traditionally VLSI technology has emerged out as a successful conglomeration of two streams: material science and electronics engineering. The state of the art VLSI technology requires research in physical devices as well as novel design and development of electronic circuits. The program will focus on developing hands-on skills in designing semiconductor devices and circuits, architecting systems using embedded components such as CPU, memory and peripherals. Students will be trained in several topics that cut across the different domains, starting from the lowermost level of physical devices to the top level of application development.
Well balanced curriculum catering to the needs of the industry as well as the research community. The curriculum focuses on employing hierarchical design methods and understanding the design issues at the various levels of hierarchy. Students are exposed to various design software in this programme. Also, they learn to design, simulate, implement and test complex digital systems using FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). Students are trained in several topics that cut across the different domains, starting from the lowermost level of physical devices to the top level of application development.
Course Eligibility Criteria
The students should have passed a BE/BTech or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate to take admission to M.Tech VLSI in our M.Tech College in Nagpur (GHRCEMN).

Admission Process
Registration for centralized Admission Process (CAP) with Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State (DTE). For Institute Level Admission, applications are invited for admission in M.Tech VLSI first year, in the prescribed form under Institute Level Quota.
Seat Distribution:
- Institute Level Quota: 20% of Sanctioned Intake
- CAP Round by DTE: 80% of Sanctioned Intake

- During the third semester (Total Credits = 10) students have to appear for Dissertation (Phase-I).
- During the fourth semester (Total Credits = 10) students have to appear for Dissertation (Phase-II).
Future Scope of the Course
Type of Future Study: PhD in Low Power VLSI Design, VLSI Technology, Emerging Nano Devices: Modeling and Simulation, 2D Materials: Application in Electronics, III-V Quantum Dot, Solar Cell, III-V Heterostructures.
